- Install(REL2) ARP User's Manual Install(REL2)
-
-
-
- NAME
- Install - Do the magic which makes a disk bootable.
-
- SYNOPSIS
- Install DRIVE/A
-
- DESCRIPTION
- This command should be used on all formatted floppy disks
- that you might wish to startup the system with.
-
- EXAMPLE
- INSTALL DF0:
- INSTALL DF1:
- INSTALL DF2:
- INSTALL DF3:
-
- The examples above show the four possible commands you can
- give to install.
-
- ADDITIONAL
- The ARP Install command (unlike the BCPL install) writes a
- consistant set of data to the bootblock, and therefore a
- consistent checksum. This should make it much easier to
- detect virus programs which alter the bootblock.
